Cary Grant was creepy in that movie, still though. I mean, especially that scene where he's bringing her milk. I thought he was going to have a poison or something in it. And I was screaming in my head, "DON'T DRINK THE MILK." When it came to the part where he sold the chairs, I thought, "Ok he's going to kill her for her dad's money." And then her dad died and she didn't get anything. It wasn't until pretty far into the movie that I figured they wouldn't make Cary Grant a murderer.
It's mainly because of two things: 1. I don't even know where the hell is a safe place to download from. And 2. I'm afraid I'll get a virus or some shit on my computer, lol.
She said it depends. She said TMWKT was one of them. Another was the Glenn Miller Story, I think. But she doesn't really watch movies and when she does, it's usually not a Jimmy movie. But I think he sounds the same whenever.
haha I know. My dad can sound like anybody. It's pretty cool. This is roughly what my dad sounds like when he talks like a black grandma:
Yes, that's a white guy.

Yeah, I've seen some stuff on tumblr about Charade and his tan doesn't seem so dark. It's just normal. I guess we'll just never know why he was so dark during that time. To Catch a Thief is ok. I liked North by Northwest more. It might be due to my family making jokes about TCaT and calling some parts cheesy that makes me like NBN more. I don't know. I just know that I don't like watching film awards and films with my family because they talk a lot, especially my sister. If I was to put the Grant/Hitchcok films in order of preference it would be: 1. Notorious - one of his best performances and one of his most handsome looks too. 2. North By Northwest - Great action packed adventure but the ending could have been much better. 3. To Catch A Thief - Good enough film and I always find Grace Kelly such a cold actress like their is not as much chemistry their asCary has with other actresses. 4. Suspicion - Have to say I've not seen it in a long long time but it has never grabbed my attention like the others and I find it a bit boring/bland.

I haven't seen Notorious yet, so I can't say where it ranks for me with the Grant/Hitchcock films, but for the ones I've seen it'd be:
1. North By Northwest 2. To Catch a Thief 3. Suspicion

I'm not a big fan of Grace Kelly--at least in TCAT. I didn't think they had any chemistry, and I think what was supposed to be a love scene was more humerous than anything else--and not the good kind of humerous, either. I just watched North By Northwest for the second time two days ago. I gotta say, I kind of liked the second half better than the first half (the reverse of my first viewing), but I do agree that the ending was not that great. I absolutely hate how he pulls her up and they're suddenly in the train. I wanted to see how on earth they made it out of THAT position.

In the original script it was supposed to really be posion in the milk--if I remember reading correctly. When it came to the part where he sold the chairs, all I was thinking was, that's not right! Imagine selling those chairs that her father gave them as a wedding present--without even asking to sell them first. As good looking as he is, I would have put my foot down! Yes, that's true. Well not they're cracking down on all sorts of sites on the internet. It's a damn shame. Oh my god, I am laughing so damn hard. I have to show this to my friend. We watch stuff like this ALL the time. If your father can talk like this, he might just be my idol. Thank you for posting this!

Me too the ending was really cheesy lol it didn't fit with the rest of the film. It would be better as you said seeing how they got out of that position and then maybe cutting to them boarding the train as Mr and Mrs Thornhill.

Ah--if only we could rewrite or re-film movies... No, that'd be a terrible idea. Imagine what all that power could do to a person? They'd ruin film history all together in one full swoop.

Maybe they lowered the helicopter to where they could get the girl in first and then Cary Grant could straighten up and then get in the helicopter?
I dunno, but now that you guys mentioned it, the ending could have been a bit better. It's never really bothered me before until you two mentioned it.

I remember police and bad guys and good guys, erm, and women, but I don't remember a helicopter. I could be wrong though. This scene happens like five minutes after we see Cary nearly naked in the hospital room. At this point, I'm in another world.
